Woof Nova is a New York based performance collective founded in 2006. We make intimate theatrical environments expressing thematic interests by utilizing a mixture of handcrafted and found objects. We create original texts and songs, explore borrowed material and choreograph physical scores combining pedestrian and poetic gestures. The research process that precedes the making of a work draws on a variety of sources including literature, philosophy, the natural and social sciences, homespun recipes and visual art. Our five completed works are Sedimentary, veils/vestiges: the aesthetics of hidden things, Spoleum, Hearts and Tongues and Don’t Peek.
