The Vanishing Play
Woof Nova’s final
installment in the trilogy
that began with Spoleum,
continued with Don’t
Peek, and now concludes
with our third
exploration into the
nature of loss
The Vanishing play explores losses large and small, controlled and uncontrollable: vanishing borders, both geographic and those within the mind, objects that vanish on their own and the willful tricks of the magician. Memory becomes an illusive tool and rituals are performed in order to reconstitute identity, history and relationships. How do we rend the veil of time, distance and dimension? Do we hang on to the past or transform our worldview to fit the people and places of the here and now?
The Vanishing Play will be performed at Incubator Arts Project (former Ontological-Hysteric Theater) at St. Mark’s Church in New York. Opening February 9, 2012 through February 25, 2012.
